The tournament began with a stage programme, hosted by Mr Anvith D’Souza, Cup Prashasthi Representative of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate. He extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and invited them to the dais.

Following this, Rev. Fr Herald D’Souza delivered an energetic and motivating address, encouraging all the players to perform with true sportsmanship and inspiring the supporters to cheer positively throughout the tournament.
In his message to the youth, he highlighted the vital role of sports in shaping character, instilling discipline, and fostering unity. He encouraged the participants to engage in the games with sincerity and a positive mindset, reminding them that both victory and defeat are essential aspects of sports. He emphasized that the true spirit of the game is reflected in playing with integrity, mutual respect, and wholehearted enthusiasm.
This was followed by the inaugural kick-off of the Football tournament, during which the dignitaries jointly kicked the ball towards the goalpost, marking the official commencement of the matches.
The most anticipated moment of the event followed with the announcement of the winners of the Varado Cup 2025. The results were announced by Ms Neema D’Silva, amid great excitement and applause from the gathered audience.
The Individual Awards were announced as follows:

- Best Goalkeeper: Mr Adish Crasta – Narampady Unit

The Varado Cup 2025 concluded on a high note, strengthening bonds of unity and fellowship among the youth and leaving behind lasting memories of camaraderie, discipline, and fair play.
Thereafter, as per the fixture schedule, the Football matches commenced. Simultaneously, the Lagori tournament was inaugurated. Prior to the start of the matches, the participants were briefed on the rules and regulations of the game. The first teams to play then exchanged a handshake with the referee and their opponents, symbolizing fair play and sportsmanship, after which the matches began according to the scheduled fixtures.
As the matches concluded and the winners were finalized, the closing ceremony commenced with a graceful dance performance presented by the young members of the ICYM Permude Unit. The ceremony was led by Mr Stallon D’Souza, Treasurer of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate, who extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present.

Later, Mr Stallon D’Souza, on behalf of the ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate, expressed his appreciation and thanked the ICYM Permude Unit for their dedicated efforts. As a token of love and gratitude, Mr Ronald Chethan, President of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate, presented a memento to the ICYM Permude Unit in recognition of their initiative in organizing the event successfully.
Subsequently, Ms Neema Crasta President of Permude Unit delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, referees, sponsors, and well-wishers who contributed to the smooth conduct and success of the VARADO Cup 2025. Tokens of appreciation were also presented to all those who supported the event.
