November 3, 2024: On the occasion of Children’s Day, the ICYM Vorkady Unit organized a colorful and engaging event titled “Vorkadychim Neketram” at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Hall, Vorkady. The program, held from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, celebrated the creativity and enthusiasm of the young members of the parish.
A total of 87 children from LKG to YCS enthusiastically participated in various competitions, each designed to nurture imagination and innovation:
Competitions:
Picture Coloring (LKG to 2nd Std) – Young artists displayed their talent through vibrant coloring.
Wealth Out of Waste (3rd to 5th Std) – Children transformed everyday waste into creative, useful items.
Bottle Art (6th to 9th Std) – Participants showcased stunning art by upcycling glass and plastic bottles.
Flower Arrangement (9th Std to YCS) – Youth created beautiful floral displays, exhibiting design and elegance.
The competitions were judged by Br. Blanny Thomas Fernandez and Sr. Severine D’Cunha, who praised the participants for their imagination, effort, and originality.
The success of “Vorkadychim Neketram” highlighted the ICYM Vorkady Unit’s commitment to encouraging the creative and artistic talents of parish children, while promoting joyful learning and community spirit.
