November 17, 2024: As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the ICYM Vorkady Unit organized a Shramadan (voluntary service) on November 17 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Vorkady. The initiative reflected the unit’s dedication to community service and collective responsibility.

At 10:00 AM, 16 ICYM members gathered for the activity, which involved filling sand between the interlocks within the church premises to ensure a safe and clean environment for parishioners. The effort was efficiently guided by Sr. Severine D’Cunha, Animator of the ICYM Vorkady Unit.

Working together with dedication, the team completed the task successfully. The Shramadan not only contributed to the upkeep of the church surroundings but also promoted team spirit, discipline, and a sense of ownership among the youth.

This meaningful act of service stood as a testament to ICYM Vorkady’s ongoing commitment to faith in action and youth-led community engagement.
