16 Aug, 2024, Indian Catholic Youth Movement Vorkady unit conducted cleanliness drive on the occasion of Independence Day. The unit joined the cleanliness drive campaign organized by the ICYM Mangalore diocese. The cleanliness activity began at 11 am in the morning under the guidance of Unit Director Rev. Fr. Bazil Vas and Unit Animator Sr. Severine Dcunha. 

A team of 11 members participated in cleanliness drive. The members cleaned the surroundings of church, bus stand and main streets and they collected plastic waste, removed weeds and swept the public areas. 

The cleanliness drive resulted in a significant improvement in the area’s cleanliness. ICYM Vorkady unit’s Independence Day cleanliness drive went on in a great success, demonstrating the power of collective action in promoting cleanliness and community spirit.
