August 15, 2024: The ICYM Unit Kasaragod celebrated Independence Day on Thursday, August 15, with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event began with a welcome address by Ms. Reema, followed by the Holy Mass marking the Feast of the Assumption of Mother Mary.

At 9:00 AM, the National Flag was hoisted by Sr. Maria Lissy, Superior of Madonna Convent, Kasaragod, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Louis Cutinha and Mr. Richard Crasta, Vice President of the Pastoral Committee. Mr. Gilson Crasta, President of ICYM Kasaragod, conveyed his Independence Day greetings to the gathering.

As part of the program, the Pratibha Puraskar awards were presented to students for academic excellence. Rev. Fr. Louis Cutinha honored eight ICYM members for successfully completing their 10th standard, PUC, and graduation.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Anson D’Souza, while Ms. Ashintha Montheiro served as the Master of Ceremonies. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets to all present.
