Kalotsav 2026, a Konkani Cultural Fest, was organized by ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate in collaboration with the ICYM Narampady Unit on 24th and 25th January 2026 at St John De Britto Church, Narampady.
The two days cultural celebration brought together participants from all 10 units of the Vicariate, showcasing the richness, unity, and vibrant spirit of Konkani culture.
DAY 1 – 24 January 2026
Day 1 commenced at 2:00 PM with a soulful prayer song rendered by the members of the ICYM Narampady Unit. This was followed by the inaugural ceremony, which was gracefully hosted by Ms Myola D’Souza, who guided the gathering with warmth and poise.

A fruitful message was delivered by Rev. Fr Anil Francis Pinto, reminding participants that while they had come prepared to win, the true spirit of Kalotsav lies in unity, encouragement, and togetherness.
An inspiring message was also delivered by Mr John Crasta and Mr Ravi Kumar Crasta, motivating participants to actively take part and celebrate culture in a spirit of unity.
All dignitaries then joined the representatives of the participating units on the dais, officially inaugurating Kalotsav 2026.
Competitions – Day 1
The competitions began with great enthusiasm:

A spot photography competition was also conducted during the day.
The judging panel included Mr Daya Akar, Mrs Zeena Pereira, Ms Dealle D’Souza, and Mr Rajesh D’Souza. The judges were introduced by Ms Vinitha D’Souza, and tokens of appreciation were presented by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis.
Day 1 Closing Ceremony
A short concluding program was hosted by Ms. Pramila Monteiro.

Mr Denis D’Silva encouraged the participants to remain confident, creative, and united, and praised the Kasaragod Vicariate for organizing the fest beautifully and promoting cultural unity among the youth.
An inspiring address was delivered by Rev. Fr Clany Antony D’Souza, who encouraged the youth to use their talents wisely, stay united, and preserve their culture and values.
All dignitaries were felicitated, marking a meaningful conclusion to Day 1.

DAY 2 – 25 January 2026
Day 2 began at 11:00 AM following the Holy Mass at St John De Britto Church, Narampady. Participants gathered once again with great enthusiasm.

The judging panel included Ms Wencita Dias, Mr Gavin Rodrigues, and Mr Snehith Vamanjoor, whose lively presence added colour and energy to the event. They not only evaluated the performances but also entertained the audience with their enthusiasm and interaction.
The judges were formally introduced by Ms Vinitha D’Souza, and tokens of appreciation were presented to them by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis.
CONCLUDING CEREMONY
The concluding ceremony was hosted by Ms Prewel D’Souza, Lady Vice President of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate & IPP of ICYM Narampady unit.

A warm and gracious welcome was extended during the concluding ceremony by Ms Linda Magdaline D’Souza, President of the ICYM Narampady Unit, who greeted all the dignitaries, participants, and guests and expressed heartfelt joy at hosting the gathering.
Very Rev. Fr Stany Pereira appreciated the sincere efforts and active participation of the youth and encouraged everyone to remain united while nurturing their talents and preserving faith and culture.
Chief Guest Rev. Fr Praveen D’Souza congratulated the ICYM Narampady Unit, the Vicariate President, the Director, and the entire organizing team for their dedicated leadership in successfully conducting Kalotsav 2026. He encouraged them to continue guiding the youth in unity, faith, and growth.
Mr Stany Bela fondly shared his experiences of being involved in Kalotsav during his youth and motivated the participants to use their talents positively for the Church and society.
Rev. Fr Vishal Monis expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the units, organizers, and volunteers for their dedication and teamwork, and highlighted that Kalotsav is not just a competition but a beautiful celebration of unity, friendship, and culture.
The formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr Jaison Roy D’Souza, Secretary of the ICYM Narampady Unit, who conveyed sincere gratitude to the chief guests, clergy, organizers, judges, volunteers, participating units, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of Kalotsav 2026, bringing the program to a meaningful close.

The prize distribution ceremony for the two-day fest was conducted and hosted by Ms Neema D’Silva, P.R.O. of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate.
