ICYM Vorkady unit successfully organized Udhkanth Masthi 2025, an inter-ward water games competition, on September 14th from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Vorkady. A total of 150 participants from various wards took part in this exciting event, showcasing their teamwork and competitive spirit.
The event began with a fun-filled inaugural ceremony, where Rev. Fr. Santhosh D’Souza, Assistant Director of ICYM Vorkady, inaugurated the event by spraying water from a water gun, setting the tone for a thrilling competition.
The competition featured a variety of solo and group games, which tested the participants’ skills, strategy, and teamwork. The games were engaging and entertaining, with participants enthusiastically competing against each other.
The event had lively commentary provided by Dr. Steevan D’Souza, Animator of ICYM Vorkady, and Mr. Liston D’Souza. Their commentary added to the excitement and energy of the event, keeping the participants and spectators engaged throughout.
At the end of the event, prizes were distributed to the winners. The overall trophies were awarded as follows:
First place: Vorkady 1 Ward
Second Place: Borkala Ward & Kaliyur Ward (joint winners)
Third Place: Kalimanja Ward
At the end of the event, Rain dance was organized for the parishioners.
