The ICYM Manjeshwar Unit conducted a Christmas night programme on 24th December 2025, held soon after the Holy Mass at the Our Lady Of Mercy Church premises, Manjeshwar. Before the commencement of the programme, refreshments were served to all the parishioners, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the celebration.
Following the Holy Mass, all the parishioners gathered for the celebration and were warmly welcomed by Ms. Neema D’silva , marking the formal commencement of the programme.
Ms Frencita Monteiro hosted the programme and welcomed the gathering and invited the dignitaries on to the dais. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Edwin Francis Pinto, Father muller’s Kankanady, Chaplain Fr. John Vas, Parish council vice president Mr, Vijith D’silva, Secretary Christine Dsouza , ICYM Animator Mr. Rohan Dsouza and ICYM president Ms. Deena Dsouza were present on the dais. Parish priest Rev. Fr Edwin Francis Pinto and Fr.John Vas addressed the gathering and delivered the Christmas message to the parishioners.
The event commenced with a prayer song led by ICYM members. The ceremony was inaugurated by cutting the cake. As a special guest, Santa Claus was there to entertain all.
After the formal stage programme, the cultural programme began. Parishioners, along with ICYM members, presented various performances such as dances, songs, and a skit. In addition, a few spot games were conducted for the parishioners by Ms. Neema D’Silva. The winners of the Selfie Competition were announced, And awarded the prizes. The academic achievers, along with others who had notable accomplishments were congratulated. For all parishioners, a game of Housie-Housie was organized, and prizes were awarded to the winners.
Finally, Ms. Renisha Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks.
On the joyous occasion of Christmas 2025, the ICYM Manjeshwar Unit actively contributed to the festive spirit by Preparing and Decorating a 20 feet Christmas Tree at our church Premises.
The celebration was a grand success and reflected the unity, dedication, and commitment of ICYM Manjeshwar Unit.
