Radiant 2025 – Shine Beyond Limits!

Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kasaragod Vicariate, in collaboration with ICYM Manjeshwar Unit, organized a vibrant youth get-together themed Radiant 2025 – with the tagline “Shine Beyond Limits!” on 24th August 2025 at the Kalasparsham Auditorium, Manjeshwar. 

The event was hosted under the dynamic leadership of the ICYM Manjeshwar Unit and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 350 youth from 14 ICYM units across the Vicariate.

The program began with an engaging ice-breaking session conducted by Mr Joel Kollangana, setting a lively tone for the day. This was followed by the inaugural ceremony hosted by Ms Renisha Dsouza, PRO of ICYM Manjeshwar Unit.


A highlight of the event was the grand march, led by ICYM Kasargod Vicariate President Mr Ronald Chethan along with all 14 Unit Presidents, entering the auditorium carrying lights – a symbolic gesture to “Bloom and Shine Beyond Limits” The distinguished guests then joined the procession, adding grace and dignity to the ceremony.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a soulful prayer song by the ICYM Manjeshwar Unit members, invoking blessings for the day. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including:

All the dignitaries officially inaugurated Radiant 2025 through a creative and symbolic act of artistry.

Ms Deena D’souza, President of ICYM Manjeshwar Unit, then extended a heartfelt welcome to everyone present and expressed her sincere gratitude to the distinguished guests and enthusiastic participants for gracing the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs Gean Lavina Monteiro emphasized the importance of youth participation in public affairs, noting how it empowers young people to shape their future, bring forth innovative ideas, and create meaningful change in society. 

Dr Praveen Matis SJ, Vice Chancellor of St Aloysius Deemed to be University, inspired the youth to foster ambition, nurture dreams, and strengthen determination to unlock their true potential and achieve great heights.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the event, Rev. Fr Edwin Francis Pinto reflected on a timeless truth: “Just as a pencil’s eraser corrects mistakes, so too can we, with humility and faith, erase our errors and walk the path of spiritual renewal.”


All the dignitaries were presented with a token of love by the ICYM Manjeshwar Unit.

Later, Ms Jesline Dsouza– Treasurer of ICYM Manjeshwar Unit expressed gratitude to all the sponsors for their generous support in making Radiant 2025 a grand success, followed by Rev. Fr Edwin Francis Pinto presenting tokens of appreciation to the sponsors. 

After the stage program, Br. Melwyn Antony Fernandes, along with the youth of the Manjeshwar unit, led a session of worship through action songs, filling the atmosphere with vibrant energy and enthusiasm.

This was followed by an engaging mini-session where Mr Gladson, Council Member of ICYM Kasargod Vicariate, introduced the first resource person, Mr Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza who delivered an insightful talk on start-up businesses, sharing his journey of becoming an entrepreneur and the challenges he overcame along the way. A token of love was then presented to Mr Vijoy Cardoza by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis as a gesture of gratitude.

Next, the ICYM Kasargod Vicariate executive members led the participants in a lively action song, followed by an interactive ice-breaking session led by Mr Joel Kollangana, that brought energy and fun to the event.

After the ice-breaking session, the second mini-session was conducted by Ms Jyothi Simav Vas, who was once again introduced to the participants by Mr Gladson.

Ms Jyothi shared a heartfelt and inspiring testimony, recounting how she experienced God’s divine presence throughout her life, crediting her success and unwavering resilience to His constant guidance and abundant blessings, and leaving the entire youth immersed in a deep, prayerful mood. A token of love was then presented to Ms Jyothi Vas by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis as a gesture of gratitude.

Felicitation Program:

We were honoured to have with us The Golden Girl Ms Remona Evete Pereira, who set a world record with an incredible 170-hour Bharatanatyam dance performance. She made a grand entrance to the stage, marching alongside the vibrant Nasik Band team led by ICYM Bela Unit, accompanied by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, Rev. Fr Edwin Francis Pinto, Mr Ronald Chethan, Mr Vijith Dsouza, Mrs Christine Dsouza and Mrs Deena Dsouza

A special felicitation ceremony was held in her honour, celebrating her remarkable achievement.

Following the felicitation, the much-awaited 1st Ever Jubilee 2025 Youth Rally of the Mangalore Diocese, proudly organized by ICYM Kasargod Vicariate, began from Kalasparsham Auditorium and proceeded to Our Lady of Mercy Church, Manjeshwar. Upon reaching the church, Ms Remona delivered a brief yet inspiring speech on the importance of hard work, leaving the audience truly motivated.

The event continued with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr Edwin Francis Pinto and Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, offered for all the youth of Kasargod Vicariate. This was then followed by a delicious lunch at Kalasparsham Hall, bringing everyone together in fellowship and joy.

The afternoon session kicked off with a lively mix of games and fun action songs, energetically led by Mr Joel Kollangana and the executive members of ICYM Kasaragod Deanery. Sr Severine D’Cunha presented a token of appreciation to Mr Joel Kollangana in recognition of his efforts in leading the ice-breaking sessions throughout the day. 

 

This was followed by a short yet impressive cultural program, with Mr Stallon Dsouza serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Various units of the Kasaragod Deanery showcased their talents and creativity through vibrant cultural performances, making the event truly memorable.

After the cultural segment, the Valedictory Program commenced, hosted by Ms Prewel Sandra, Lady Vice President of ICYM Kasargod Vicariate. The concluding ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests:

A warm welcome address was delivered by ICYM Kasargod Vicariate President Mr Ronald Chethan, setting the tone for the evening. Rev. Fr Ashwin Cardoza then inspired the youth with his speech, urging them to strive for excellence, shine brightly, and make a positive mark in society.

Our constant support system, Rev. Fr Vishal Monis, celebrated Kasargod Vicariate‘s growth, highlighting the positive change in people’s perceptions and encouraging the youth to continue setting good examples and working unitedly for a brighter future.

Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, in his brief yet impactful speech, praised the youth for their dedication towards Kasargod Vicariate‘s progress and encouraged them to always choose the right path and uphold strong values.

ICYM Kasargod Vicariate Executive Team presented a token of gratitude to the ICYM Manjeshwar Unit for their hard work and dedication in making Radiant-2025 a grand success.

Mr Lanson Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Kasargod Vicariate, extended heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, participants, and helping hands who contributed to the success of Radiant-2025. The ceremony concluded with the ICYM Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and unity.

The final highlight of the day was a DJ performance, where participants came together with infectious energy, dancing and celebrating, bringing the event to a vibrant and memorable close. The entire program was seamlessly executed by the ICYM Kasargod Vicariate Executive Members and ICYM Manjeshwar Members.
