Right after the 2nd Deanery Council Meeting on 03rd August 2025 around 4 : 30pm, ICYM Kasargod Vicariate organized a short but impactful training session for it’s council members under the theme “Speak to Inspire, Lead to Serve.” The session was led by Mr Joel Lancy Crasta – Kollangana, who brought in his expertise to guide the youth.
The evening was graced by Rev. Fr. Vishal Monis – Director of ICYM Kasargod Vicariate, Sr Severine D’Cunha – Animator, Mr Ronald Chethan – Deanery President, Mr Lanson D’Souza – Deanery Secretary, along with 28 enthusiastic youth members.
The gathering began with a warm welcome by Mr Ronald Chethan.
During the session, Mr Joel actively engaged all participants, guiding them on:
*Facing an audience with confidence
*Maintaining proper posture and bodylanguage while speaking
*Personal grooming and self-presentation
*Encouraging leaders to step forward and speak in front of the gathering.
The session was both interactive and practical, allowing youth leaders to step out of their comfort zones and enhance their public speaking skills. It was truly mind-opening, confidence-boosting, and highly beneficial for everyone present.
The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr Lanson D’Souza, appreciating Mr Joel’s valuable inputs and the active participation of all council members. The session ended on a note of inspiration, leaving everyone motivated to lead with service in mind.
