ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate, in collaboration with ICYM Bovikana, which is located at the southern corner of the Mangalore Diocese, proudly hosted its first-ever Vicariate-level event, marking a historic moment for the unit on 20th July 2025 which held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 150–160 youth, making it a spiritually enriching evening.
This occasion was especially significant for the Bovikana Unit, as it marked the first time, they hosted a Deanery-level program – a proud and memorable moment for the unit.
The Taize Prayer 2025 was spiritually led by Rev. Fr Suraj Lobo, Assistant Parish Priest of Kumbla Church, with musical support from the ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate Choir Team. The prayer service flowed gracefully, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere for all attendees.
Following the prayer, Ms Sharel Madtha, on behalf of the ICYM Bovikana Unit, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks to the gathering. A token of gratitude was presented to Rev. Fr Suraj Lobo in appreciation of his spiritual leadership during the event.
Mr Clanson Dsouza- Red Drop Representative of ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate, brought the event to a close by thanking Rev. Fr Cloudy Director of ICYM Bovikana Unit; Mr Jeevan Dsouza– President; and Ms Sharel Madtha– Secretary, for organizing such a meaningful evening.
As a gesture of appreciation, a token of love was presented to the Bovikana Unit by Rev. Fr Vishal Monis (Director, ICYM Kasaragod Vicariate).
The event concluded with a sense of spiritual renewal and joy, followed by refreshments arranged by the Bovikana Unit
